2017 Louisiana School Law Workshop Draws 315 Attendees

12/02/2017 8:00 AM

This year's version of the Louisiana School Law Workshop was again held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge. On September 14th, over three hundred representatives from parishes across Lousiana made their way to Baton Rouge for the workshop. The workshop lasted one and a half days and contained 12 sessions spanning a myriad of topics from all areas of school law.

As usual, Bob Hammonds' session on the new 2017 Acts of the Legislature led off the workshop, including valuable information about changes and additions to current education law. Included in the other sessions were presentations on personnel issues, on-site school visitors, and an update on Title VII and Title IX from Dr. Wayne Stewart.

The workshop concluded on Friday at Noon with our final Q&A session with HSAG partners, Bob Hammonds & Jon Guice and a quiz to test the knowledge of our attendees.

We had a great workshop and look forward to next year! Thank you to all who attended.
