Community and Civic Involvement
Our attorneys have strong roots in Louisiana. At Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins we are dedicated to serving our community. Our attorneys live in various parishes, including Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Iberville, Ouachita, Tangipahoa, and West Feliciana.
Whether it is serving as a volunteer fire fighter and first responder in Iberville Parish, delivering food to the elderly in West Monroe, teaching law-related concepts to second graders at Southern Lab School in Baton Rouge, serving on one of numerous nonprofits’ boards of directors throughout the state, or mentoring students of underrepresented groups, we are committed to strengthening our community. Among the nonprofits supported by members of the firm are: Volunteers in Public Schools, Louisiana Arts and Science Museum, and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank Board of Directors.
Various partners and associates are actively involved in local, state, and national bar associations. Our attorneys have held or currently hold leadership roles in the Baton Rouge Bar Association. We are members of the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Louis A. Martinet Society, the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Inns of Court, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Louisiana School Attorneys Association, National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys, and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). Our attorneys have served as adjunct professors at the University of New Orleans Graduate School and Southern University Law Center. We have served on the DRI Insurance Law Committee and Personal Lines subcommittee. We support the bar by routinely co-sponsoring seminars and conferences.
