Carlar graduated Cum Laude in January 2024 from Southern University Law Center and was the President of the Children and Family Law Society. She attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah before transferring to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she earned her B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice and English.

Carlar comes from a background of almost 20 years in education, as a former teacher and administrator. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, National Bar Association, and Change Church, as well as an Adoption Advocate, CASA Volunteer, and an avid supporter of many youth and community organizations. Carlar practices in the areas of Education Law, Insurance Defense, and Civil Litigation Defense.
