The Louisiana Supreme Court overrules prior rulings and now holds that the Louisiana High Athletics Association, Inc is a private entity and not a "quasi public body" and therefore several Louisiana statues, La. R. S. 17:176 (F), 176 (G), 236.3 (A) and La. R. S,. 24:513 (J)(4)(a) and (b) are unconstitutional to be applied to the Association and La. R.S. 24:513 (A)(1)(b)(v) does not apply to it. The immediate effect is to deny to the Louisiana Legislative Auditor any authority over the Association and denies any right to audit the Association. View the decision here.
