With an impressive educational background, a wealth of professional experience, and active involvement in legal associations, Jon K. Guice has established himself as a respected attorney and partner at Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins, LLP.

His legal practice is distinguished by a concentration in various areas of litigation, including employment law, education law, professional responsibility, and insurance defense. Jon’s diverse experience allows him to excel in general litigation, insurance coverage and defense, employment law consultation, and employer defense. He is a trusted mediator in personal injury, employment, contract, and other legal matters.

Throughout his career, Jon has been an active member of various legal associations. He is presently a member of both the Fourth Judicial District and Louisiana State Bar Associations. His commitment to the legal field extends beyond membership, as he served as an Observer for the Louisiana Law Institute in 2000. Jon’s dedication to the profession was further demonstrated during his tenure as a Member of the LSBA House of Delegates from 1994 to 1996.

Jon has also made significant contributions to legal education. He served as a Lecturer at the LSBA Summer School for Lawyers, where he shared his expertise on employment law and due process. His commitment to education extends to his role as a frequent presenter on these topics for esteemed organizations such as the Louisiana School Board Association, Louisiana Association of School Superintendents, and Louisiana Association of School Personnel Administrators. Jon’s passion for the environment and wildlife conservation is evident through his active involvement with the Friends of Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge.

Jon graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies at Northeast Louisiana University, now known as the University of Louisiana Monroe, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Phi Alpha Theta honor societies and the Student Government Association. 

He earned his Juris Doctor degree at the Paul M. Herbert Law Center at Louisiana State University . He was an active member of the Moot Court Board and received the Law League of Louisiana Merit Award. His commitment to excellence was further recognized with the American Jurisprudence Award. Jon was also a member of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and the Flory Trial Club.
