Nathan Long is a lifelong resident of south Louisiana, having been born and raised in Metairie. After graduating from high school, he continued his education at Louisiana State University, where he majored in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism. While at LSU, Nathan worked as a reporter for KLSU, eventually advancing to the role of Sports Director. During this time, he also served as a sports reporter for The Times-Picayune/The Advocate, covering local high school football.
Nathan earned his bachelor’s degree in 2021 and went on to attend LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During law school, he became a published member of the Louisiana Law Review and was later named to its board as Online Editor. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2024.
Nathan began his legal career as a law clerk at Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins in May of 2023. Following his graduation from law school and successful passage of the Louisiana bar, he accepted an Associate position with the firm. Nathan currently practices in the areas of Education Law, Construction Law, Civil Litigation Defense, and Federal Litigation.
