Evan’s practice encompasses a wide range of areas, including construction law, public bid law, procurement law, open meetings law, public records law, property disputes, employment law, contract law, insurance defense, tort law, municipal law, school law, civil rights law, governmental finance, and election law. His invaluable contribution to the legal field extends to his role as the City Attorney for the City of Port Allen since 2018.
He is a proud member of several professional organizations, including the Baton Rouge Bar Association-Construction Law Section, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Evan’s active participation in these associations reflects his dedication to staying updated with legal developments and networking with fellow legal professionals.
Beyond his legal career, Evan is an integral member of his community and actively participates in various organizations. He serves as a Music Committee/Usher at BPBC and is a member of Le Krewe Du Roi. Evan also actively contributes to the legal profession as a Delegate at the Louisiana State Bar Association Diversity Conclave in 2021 and as a Member of the Louisiana City Attorneys Association and the Council of School Attorneys.
Evan’s dedication to public service extends to his active involvement as a Firefighter/First Responder with the Bayou Sorrel Volunteer Fire Department, a role he has passionately fulfilled since 1999. His commitment to this role was further recognized when he served as the President of the Bayou Sorrel Volunteer Fire Department from 2012 to 2022.
Evan earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Louisiana State University 2004, and went on to receive his MBA.
Evan embarked on his journey in the legal field at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. Here, he achieved the dual distinction of earning a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Civil Law in 2008. Evan’s dedication to legal scholarship and excellence was evident through his recognition with the CALI Award in Legal Research and Writing II.
