Attorney Accolades: Carla Courtney-Harris

May 21, 2012 – Carla Courtney-Harris has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Volunteers in Public School (VIPS).  VIPS is a non-profit organization with the goal of providing support of public school students through volunteers.  Ken Sills is a member of the Advisory Board for VIPS.

August 12, 2012 – Carla Courtney-Harris was named one of the 36 members of the Leadership Baton Rouge 2013 class sponsored by the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce.  Participants of the program are chosen on the basis of demonstrating leadership ability through career and/or community achievements, concern for the future of the Baton Rouge area, and commitment to the program.  The Leadership class involves nine months of training involving lectures, discussions, field trips, and practical exercises.

October 12, 2012 – Carla Courtney-Harris was appointed to serve on the East Baton Rouge Parish Overall Advisory Leadership Council (ALC) serving both the LSU and Southern University Ag Centers.  The ALC takes an active role in providing program direction for the extension service programs by identifying and prioritizing the needs of the people represented and assisting the faculty in implementing and evaluating educational programs.
